If you connect an Apple CarPlay-compatible iPhone to the system via USB charging/connector port or wirelessly, and the Apple CarPlay icon is selected, you can operate Apple CarPlay on the audio/information screen.

Connecting a Device

1. We recommend that you update iOS to the latest version when using Apple CarPlay.
2. Park in a safe place before connecting your iPhone to Apple CarPlay and when launching any compatible apps.
3. You can use the method below to change Apple CarPlay settings after you have completed the initial setup:
   Press the(Home) button ➔ Select General Settings ➔ Smartphone Connection ➔ Apple CarPlay ➔ Select device.
4. While connected to Apple CarPlay, it is not possible to use the Bluetooth® Audio or Hands-Free Telephone. You can only make calls or listen to music through Apple CarPlay. If you want to make a call with Hands-Free Telephone, turn Apple CarPlay OFF or detach the USB cable from your iPhone. Other previously paired phones can also use Bluetooth® Audio.
5. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto cannot run at the same time.
6. When using Hands Free, you can only control it with Siri.

8. Apple CarPlay Operating Requirements & Limitations
   Apple CarPlay requires a compatible iPhone with an active mobile connection and data plan. Your carrier’s rate plans will apply.
   Changes in operating systems, hardware, software, and other technology integral to providing Apple CarPlay functionality, as well as new or revised governmental regulations, may result in a decrease or cessation of Apple CarPlay functionality and services. Honda cannot and does not provide any warranty or guarantee of future Apple CarPlay performance or functionality.
9. It is possible to use third-party apps if they are compatible with Apple CarPlay. Refer to the Apple website for information on compatible apps.
10. Use of Apple CarPlay will result in the collection of certain user and vehicle information (such as vehicle location, speed, and status) from your iPhone to enhance the Apple CarPlay experience. You will need to consent to the sharing of this information on the audio/information screen.
11. Use of user and vehicle information
    The use and handling of user and vehicle information transmitted to/from your iPhone by Apple CarPlay is governed by the Apple iOS terms and conditions and Apple’s Privacy Policy.
12. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Hotspot cannot be used at the same time. When using Apple CarPlay and Hotspot at the same time, connect to Apple CarPlay with a USB cable.

Select the Honda icon on the Apple CarPlay menu screen to go back to the home screen.

Connecting Apple CarPlay wirelessly at start-up (when there is no phone paired to the system)

1. Set the power mode to ACCESSORY or ON.
2. Select OK.
   1. If there is no registered device, the Bluetooth® pairing screen will be displayed.
   2. If you check the box with Do not show this again, this screen will not be displayed.
3. Pair the iPhone to the vehicle’s Hands-Free Telephone (HFT) system.

4.  Select Yes.

Press and hold the(Talk) button to activate Siri.

Press again to deactivate Siri.

Press and release to activate standard voice recognition system.
