Connecting a Device

With a connected device you can play various files, as well as use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on the audio/information screen.

  1. Depending on the app used, device battery may decrease even with a wired connection.

Always make sure your vehicle is parked in a safe location before connecting a device.

About Wired Connections

Connect a device to the USB charging/connector port ().

About Wireless Connections

You can modify Bluetooth® function settings.

Once you have paired a device, you can see it displayed on the screen with one or more of the following icons indicating available features:

: The phone is compatible with Bluetooth® Audio.

: The phone can be used with HFT.

: The phone is compatible with Apple CarPlay.

Phone Pairing Tips:

  1. Up to six phones can be paired.
  2. Your phone’s battery may drain faster when it is paired to the system.

Bluetooth® setup

You can turn Bluetooth® function on and off.

  1. Press the(Home) button.
  2. Select General Settings.
  3. Select Connections.
  4. Select Bluetooth.
  5. Select Options.
  6. Select Bluetooth.
  7. Select ON.

To pair a mobile phone

  1. Press the(Home) button.
  2. Select General Settings.
  3. Select Connections.
  4. Select Bluetooth.
    1. If your phone has already been paired to the system, the device name appears on the list.

      To change the currently paired phone

  5. Select Connect New Device.
  6. Make sure your phone is in search or discoverable mode.
  7. Select Honda HFT from your phone.
    1. If you want to pair a phone from this audio system, select Search for Devices, and then select your phone when it appears on the list.
  8. The system gives you a pairing code on the audio/information screen.
    1. Confirm if the pairing code on the audio/information screen and your phone matches. This may vary by phone.
  9. Select desired functions and then select Connect.
  10. A notification appears on the screen if pairing is successful.
  11. Select OK.

To change the currently paired phone

  1. Press the(Home) button.
  2. Select General Settings.
  3. Select Connections.
  4. Select Bluetooth.
  5. Select(audio),(phone), or(Apple Carplay).
    1. andcan be selected simultaneously, however, whenis selected,andcannot be selected.
    2. If you want to cancel the automatic Bluetooth® connection, uncheck all icons.
    3. You can set the connected phone priority. Check the box on the phone you want to prioritize.
  6. Select Apply.
  1. To pair other phones, select + Connect New Device from the Bluetooth screen.

To delete a paired phone

  1. Press the(Home) button.
  2. Select General Settings.
  3. Select Connections.
  4. Select Bluetooth.
  5. Select a phone you want to delete.
  6. Select Delete.
    1. A confirmation message appears on the screen.
  7. Select Delete.
