Connecting a Device

With a connected device you can play various files, as well as use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on the audio/information screen.

  1. Depending on the app used, device battery may decrease even with a wired connection.

Always make sure your vehicle is parked in a safe location before connecting a device.

About Wired Connections

Connect a device or USB flash drive to the USB charging/connector port ().

About Wireless Connections

You can modify Bluetooth® function settings.

Once you have paired a device, you can see it displayed on the screen with one or more of the following icons indicating available features:

: The device is compatible with Bluetooth® Audio and HFT.

: The device is compatible with Apple CarPlay.

: The device is compatible with Android Auto. 

Device Pairing Tips:

  1. Up to six devices can be paired.
  2. Your device’s battery may drain faster when it is paired to the system.

Bluetooth® setup

You can turn Bluetooth® function on and off.

  1. Press the(Home) button.
  2. Select General Settings.
  3. Select Connections.
  4. Select Manage Device Connections.
  5. Select Options.
  6. Select Bluetooth.
  7. Select ON.

To pair a device

  1. Press the(Home) button.
  2. Select General Settings.
  3. Select Connections.
  4. Select Manage Device Connections.
    1. If your device has already been paired to the system, the device name appears on the list.

      To change the currently paired device

  5. Select + Connect New Device.
  6. Make sure your device is in search or discoverable mode, then select Search for Devices.
    1. HFT automatically searches for a Bluetooth® device.
  7. Select your device when it appears on the list.
    1. If your device still does not appear, search for Bluetooth® devices using your device. From your device, search for Vehicle Name.
    2. Confirm if the pairing code on the audio/information screen and your device matches. This may vary by device.
  8. On your device, give pairing permission.

To change the currently paired device

  1. Press the(Home) button.
  2. Select General Settings.
  3. Select Connections.
  4. Select Manage Device Connections.
  5. Select the,, oricon.
    1. When theoricon is selected, theicon cannot be selected.
    2. You can set the connected device priority. Check the box on the device you want to prioritize.
  1. To pair other devices, select + Connect New Device from the Bluetooth® screen.

To delete a paired device

  1. Press the(Home) button.
  2. Select General Settings.
  3. Select Connections.
  4. Select Manage Device Connections.
  5. Select a device you want to delete.
  6. Select Delete Device.
    1. A confirmation message appears on the screen.
  7. Select Delete.
